Cuckooflower

More lovely wild flowers today, and lots of waterfowl young. 

There are numerous coot nests around the edges of the lake in various stages of nesting. I caught up with the Great Crested Grebe family. They have 3 young,  and I watched one parent fish and bring in food, while the other was laden down with all three on its back.

And one mallard pair had a brood of 11 to watch over!
