More Paralympic action today, this time at ExCel. The tickets we had were to see the table tennis, but they were also a day pass allowing us access to all the other events so we decided to try & see all four events. There wasn't any TeamGB representation in the table tennis so after watching some of the action we headed over to see the TeamGB ladies compete in the team Wheelchair Fencing. Sadly they were beaten by Hong Kong, but they are quite a young team and hadn't been expected to win. I hadn't heard of Boccia until the Paralympics started but this afternoon we saw Nigel Murray beat his South Korean opponent to finish in 7th place. Our favourite event of the day was Sitting Volley Ball, Morocco were taking on Rwanda in the men's event, we decided to support Rwanda and saw them even up the match at one set all but then had to leave to get home, but they boys were pleased to hear that they came thought & won 3 sets to 1.
