Natural History in the Making.

Anzac Day. Always a special day to remember those who served and fell in wartime.
This afternoon Ricky, Joe and I drove to Rarangi Beach. Joe was in search of a New Zealand skink, the Oligosoma polychroma "Clade 2". He found one under a big log, caught it, then set up his special outdoor "Studio". It was fascinating watching Joe photographing this special little skink. The best photograph will be published in a book about New Zealand skinks and geckos.
