Into the Wind

(or ... Beach with Onion)

8.4C with mostly sunny sunshine and plenty of cloud. Very occasional short showers later. NNW/NW/N wind to 30 mph, with gusts to 39 mph.

Apothecary7's day off.

About 10.30 am we went to Westport beach and had a long walk along the beach towards Machrihanish with the strong wind at our backs blowing us along. We only turned around when we reached part of the beach that had had a lot of stones washed up. Then we turned back into the wind and came back along to the car park where it was good to get out of the wind. We only saw three or four other people and two dogs all the time we were on the beach. Lots of sea spray today and good waves were crashing in and the white tops were to be seen all the way out to sea. There were Gannets diving out beyond the breakers. There wasn't a boat or ship to be seen.

Glenbarr for lunch, stopping at the Farm Stall at Bellochantuy for eggs.

Later Apothecary7 was starting a new painting.
