Looking over the edge
Backblip
Not the greatest photo but the only one taken on this hectic day. I was waiting at the stop for my second bus to work when I spotted this Woodpigeon sitting on a building at the other side of the road.
After a long and exhausting shift, I rushed home for a brief sit down and a bite to eat before heading off out again to take Rosie to a new vet. The one we usually go to is more specialised in rabbits but it takes roughly 30 minutes to get there by public transport. We had a second vet closer to the apartment before in case we needed one for an emergency but last year they decided to close this second location and concentrate on their main practice, which unfortunately is further away. I'd been looking for another closer one since then and have finally found one who is only a five minute bus ride away.
Rosie has had a somewhat soggy bottom the last few days and, just like pastry, rabbits shouldn't have one either. The vet washed and shaved Rosie's bottom and I now have to apply a cream on the skin, which had become somewhat irritated. I can tell you that this is no simple task without another person to hold Rosie still. The vet also recommended eliminating kale and cauliflower leaves from her diet, which apparently can create some gas in her tummy, and I have to give her a less sweet green pepper instead of her usual red one as well. Hopefully that will help her lose a little weight so she can more easily keep herself clean.
Thank you very much for all the comments, stars and heart on my blip of Rosie.
