Rock of Cashel

We visited the Rock of Cashel in the county Tipperary. Apparently the structure has been in rafters and repairs for years and we were lucky to see it all done. A main feature was Cormac's Chapel, the chapel of King, begun in 1127 and consecrated in 1134. I'll include a few shots in my extras.

One of the highlights of this trip is our tour guide, Cathie Ryan who is a singer with the voice of an angel. Twice now she has sung something so hauntingly beautiful as we're driving to our destination, and she sang a beautiful song while we were here as well. Having just looked her up on google, she's famous! Who knew!!
