...and the livin's easy
It was the second to last day for Dad and Dr. Bob, and the final box on the checklist was to head down to Hout Bay and have fish n' chips on the pier. Although crowded, the mist and the quiet harbor give the town a really satisfying, sleepy, Maine-like charm. I wanted more than anything to go for ride on Chapman's Peak drive, which gingerly winds around those mountain faces across the harbor, but it remains closed from rock fall damage. Nevertheless, the fish was good, and we spent the afternoon sitting on the dock next to a bee ol' seal and putting back a few Savannahs.
