studying most of the day: readings, solver on excel, etc. somehow got convinced to attend the tailgate for the game today, and hey, it was a good time. a little bit of stress relief after some intense work all day long, and another day of it ahead tomorrow.

interesting twist, however. since i wasn't going to the game, i planned to catch the bus home at the end of the tailgate. well i guess there was a mess somewhere in the system, because i got to the first stop early and thought, hey, i'll just walk to the next one (they're pretty close.)

before i know it i was almost home (it's over 3 miles) and still hadn't had a single bus past me. puzzling but not a problem - the weather has finally abated here, a bit, and so it was a lovely walk albeit an unexpected one.
