White cliffs of ...

... Folkestone.
A wonderful drive down South with no problems at all, just a couple of stops on the way. Arrived "twirly" so went in to Folkestone for a very short walk along the cliff top before going to the Channel Tunnel. We managed to get a train half an hour early and had a smooth run under the channel.
We had to collect the key to the house from a restaurant in the centre of Calais. No problem with a satnav ... I thought! The satnav kept trying to take me down one way streets and I had to use my nose to navigate. Found the key eventually and got out of Calais. We're staying in the little village of Sangatte on the coast, the last house in the village. The local countryside looks lovely and the sea is just over the road. The house is passable for what we want. Now relaxing with some French wine and looking forward to a few days out.
