Oak Trees...
It's been a pretty cold, wet and miserable day, so been busy inside doing this and that. I did venture out this morning to take this photograph. This group of mature oak trees are growing on a pre-historic earthwork between Mill Green and Nosterfield End. Marked on the map as a tumulus it is right beside the road and well looked after... The mound has been excavated I guess many years ago and the hole that was left can still be seen, as can the surrounding ditch.
Patrick update
Patrick has settled in very well, he's out and about asserting himself with the other cats showing them who's in charge. Inside he's taken to curling up at the top of the stairs so we have to walk around him. It didn't take him long to show Margaret and me that he is in charge inside! The extra is a simulated wet-plate image of him asleep at the top of the stairs.
