Watching the front.
It was cool and a bit grey when we set out to walk in Wilsden at 8.00am this morning. I confess I had my gloves on but here, about 2/3 of the way through the walk, the sun was out and sufficiently warm for us to take out coats off as we headed up to Noor Hill.
This isn't the best of compositions being a bit featureless but I was following the weather front as it moved away giving us the sun. It was so clear I felt it worth recording.
The village in the far distance is where I live with the woods of the St Ives Estate alongside
We startedthe walk from friend and fellow walker's house (Wilsden Walker) so that we could walk Buster for her. She want joining us as she had a knee operation on Tuesday and we (her fellow walkers)took her flowers and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Dull again now as it appeared to be in Bridlington as the Tour de Yorkshire started this afternoon. They have travelled through the Yorkshire Wolds and north over the North York Moors and are now (as I watch) heading down into Whitby where the sky and sea are looking blue. They will finish in Scarborough after completing the 'Cote de Robin Hoods Bay'!
They were tooted by a steam train from the North York Moors railway in Grosmont. All in all a great showcase for our wonderful county.
Happy weekend (Bank Holiday in the U.K.and two more days of the Tour) everybody.
