St John the Baptist, Mount Bures, Essex.
Today we had a bit of a trip out, visiting the East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel and having a nice lunch in an old railway carriage. There is quite a lot to see here and worth a visit... but only if you have an interest in things to do with railways.
We came home via Sudbury and on the way I couldn't resist stopping to photograph this very striking church. Parts of the building may go back to 1059, certainly it's very Norman with plenty of Roman tile used in the construction.
