Ladybird

This is the larvae of a ladybird. Cryptolaemucs Mentrouzieri.  This amazing looking creature eats aphid and is protected from ants by its waxy  secretions and its long waving appendages. I wonder what the adult looks like. This one and a few of its mates are on the tibochina bush in our front yard.
