A picky CD-player.

My CD-player has some character in it.
It has a music taste of it's own.
The Beatles - albums seem to be it's favorite, and light music as well.

Everytime I want to listen to something a bit.. harder rock'n'roll (Korn for example) it gives me this weird screaky sound, and says "no record" as if there was nothing inside. Even if it does find the record, it continues to give me these screaky sounds once I press the play button, which makes the music rather unenjoyable. But after I replace the CD with the Beatles, it plays smoothly without any problems.

Perhaps threatening it with getting a new CD-player would help?
(The Beatles is a great band, but I need some diversity once in a while.)
