tulip envy

Weather has been very kind today with mild temperatures and glimpses of the sun, so we got the chance to visit the Essex NGS Open Garden day at Ulting Wick.  Every year the owner plants a staggering amount of tulips, 10,000 this year, and it is an amazing sight to walk round the 11 acres and I always end up wanting them all! I loved the simplicity of these white tulips against the black cottage wall

Was very busy there today so everyone else had the same idea to visit but the tea and cake stall coped admirably and I may have left via the plant stall and managed to acquire another Dahlia for my collection!  All monies raised are for charity so that makes plant buying allowed in my eyes!!
