Norfolk Coast Path

We walked a small part of the Norfolk Coast Path today, here just east of Brancaster. The long distance footpath runs for 62 miles from Hunstanton to Sea Palling, and covers the North Norfolk Coast AONB.

To our right are the salt marshes and mud flats, and to our left the agricultural land reclaimed from the sea. We are walking along the raised dyke swathed either side with carpets of the umbel, Angelica. There are so many waders on the mudflats and it was thrilling to see avocets.
