Up sharpish to work for 3 hours; and by 10 it was done. 

And then more domesticity before picking her up from work at 1230; to get her lass from a sleepover and then - whoopee - weekly shop. 

So we wound up back at hers with the added bonus of the birthday cake. 

I headed home after a while and even though it were chilly I got the bike and pootled about in Leith for a couple hours; industrial estates and Cigs, mostly.

Then home to make a Rick Stein thing we'd seen a couple of days ago; lentils, smoked paprika, chorizo, jamon, passata and a pile of garlic. And added 45p reduced to clear pork loin steaks.

A quiet evening watching crap mind numbing TV....
