world in a grain of sand

potter's hands

we had a long, hot walk to the Bernard Leach gallery, but it was worth it. I only knew a little about this ground breaking potter, so it was intesting to learn about his connection with Japan.
We're so used to seeing stoneware now, it's hard to take in how innovative his work was.
We spent the evening in St Ives, sitting eating icecream by the harbour and watching the most lovely sunset behind the headland.
