2017 Wednesday -- Retirement Workshop Today

Now it's Wednesday, May 3. Finally getting back here to explain.

Retirement is, I think, in five semesters. That will put me at a really good place on the "retirement salary" scale and I'll almost be 70. Retirement salary is important to me. As young married kids (starting at 15 & 19), we lived almost in poverty. I had to count the slices of bread in the loaf every week to make sure I could make it last till the next paycheck. We had a baby on my 16th birthday. I learned how to budget wisely, make a menu, and compose a useful shopping list that allowed me to take advantage of the super market weekly sales. I loved doing that then. I loathe it now. I don't want to be strapped for money ever again, so I'll work a little longer because somehow it gives me peace of mind.
