Heritage
I had a meeting in Edinburgh this morning, in a building on Charlotte Square.
It's next door to the First Minister's official residence and just a few doors along from a National Trust property which preserves (for public view) one of these Georgian gems. They date from about 1796.
The Square used to be the hub of the city's professional and finance elite before they moved to modern offices elsewhere. The building I visited has been rather badly subdivided, and IT cables were lying across the floor inviting a nasty accident.
The Blip is the gardens in the middle of the Square with General Register House on the far side. A cloudless morning. A cloudless evening - so far.
