A day early ...

The birthday boy was totally unaware that Elizabeth and I were planning a surprise party for him today, as it's a public holiday again!

So I was busy all day making stuff, while he worked away. I bet he knew but just wasn't letting on.

We had a BBQ down at the playground and some dear friends came and celebrated with us. I made his favourite carrot cake!

And friends Brent and Pam brought that cute little Heineken keg!!! Loved it.

Roberto did an excellent job with the BBQ and we were well satisfied with the feast.

A rather splendid day. Tomorrow is his actual birthday :).
