Da Forth Brig

It's been a beautiful day, warm, sunny and blue skies :)  

Had a great night out in Edinburgh, and also met up with friend Julie too.  Packed up and headed north this morning.  First stop was South Queensferry, then across to North Queensferry to the aquarium, that was great.  Next stop was Aberdour to look for my great grandad's grave but no joy.  We had lunch outside at the Cedar Inn there and then north to Leven to see friend Libby.  Back to the Glen tonight, and great to get out of the city again.  Peace and quiet in the peerie house.

Stopped off to have a look at the new bridge crossing the Forth.  It was looking good, and can see it in the background, but it's still the old bridge that amazes me.  Wonderful design and great piece of engineering.  Spot the train crossing!  Taken from South Queensferry.
