Balintore Castle

It's been another great day, sunny, warm and blue skies again. There has been more of a breeze through the day.

Set off after breakfast, and headed north. We went off road through Glencat for a bit, and then up to Corse Castle, and also Castle Fraser. After lunch, we headed south again, and went to see the standing stone at Aberlemno, and then on the Balintore Castle. Back to the peerie house in the Glen tonight.

Balintore Castle is fantastic, but in a poor way. It's been derelict for years, but someone is trying to renovate it slowly. Built in 1860, It's meant to be Scotland's youngest castle, or so the estate manager told me when I was there. It had a haunting atmosphere around it, I'll need to research the history.
