Coptic Cairo

Coptic Cairo is known for the Hanging Church and a couple of others too. One I think has connections to Mary too, but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I did the tour. There's also a beautiful synagogue and mosque. Unusually for Cairo, it felt very peaceful too.

However the purpose of my journey was to meet a jeweller who works in a small village type place with other creatives - light fitting and lamps, potters, a maker of paper from rice husks and an upcycler. There's also an interesting performance space and gallery. They're all located about seven minutes walk from the worship area, in a nice local area of Cairo.

Still so much to see and do here.
