Ballerina
You know how on the 2nd of September when we flew out to Nice, it was one of those days!!??? Well today has been more than one of those days but the pinnacle of catastrophe!
So we didn't get to bed until 2 o'clock last night because we had to tidy up from dinner, then most of the house and put all our bags ready to go in the hall! So with this all completed and an average nights sleep we got ready to leave this morning, no struggle, no hassle.. Looked promising!
Well the taxi driver arrived at 8:30 and as I was putting the bags in the boot, mum locked up! So, as she is walking down the path to the car the shouts "SH*T, I've left the buzzer for the gate in the house" utter nightmare. So this means that we have no way of getting back into house because the door is locked, the shutters are down and the windows all have bars on them, like a bloody prison I know!
So by this point mum is on the verge of being sick and I am sitting in the taxi bemused! We managed to tell the taxi driver what had happened but thankfully he seemed ok about it....
Now we are frantically ringing all the people we know in the area who may have a gate buzzer to the house, but as it is 8 o'clock Sunday morning, no one was awake! as time went on we realised that we had missed our flight, yet again!
With mum still trying to get hold of either the gardener or the agent I decided to stay out of the way and go for a lie down on the sun lounger. We felt extremely sorry for the taxi driver because not only was he stranded with us, he was missing other clients!
To cut a long story short, the taxi driver actually climbed over the fence to get another car so he could pick up his other clients!
About 2 hours later the agent finally came to the rescue to let us out and drop us off at the airport!
Then we had the ordeal of having to pay to get on the next flight which was 4 hours later. Once we were able to get on the next flight we obviously didn't want to leave the airport, so we sat in the dodgy airport restaurant where the smell of fat was overpowering!
Well.... Finally arrived back in England and surprise surprise we were greeted by rain! And traffic!
Finally arrived home just in time to watch the Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony which by God was Amazing!!!!!! Am majorly emotionally drained!
Happy Sunday Everyone :)
