Muddy Clothes
It's been a perfectly lovely day. Just hanging around with nothing compelling or immediate to do.
I took yesterday's mud run clothes out to the driveway to hose off and it reminded me of the last time I had clothes too dirty to bring in the house. #1 had decided to fix the tires on his dirt bike and taken the rims apart to replace the ball bearings. Clothes and child covered with bike grease. Son in almost tears, too old already to let them go. His beloved bike out of service. It was Dawn for dishes and the hose. Darn if I didn't get all that grease off. Both clothes and boy.
Bike to the shop. All fixed. There were few boys who loved their bikes the way mine did.
I couldn't help but wonder how many other mud runners hosed their clothes off in the driveway or did they just throw them away.?
I lost a sock, by the way, if anyone finds a spare.
