Photography
What an interesting day it has been-a full day conference in Glasgow organised by the people with learning disabilities who use Turning Point Scotland services, followed by an evening in Kingsbarns taking part in a research project about listening to music.
The day reinforced how important it is for people to have their voice heard and to be taken seriously. Some of their ideas will be fed back to the Scottish Government to influence the next part of the strategy Keys to Life for people with Learning Disabilities. Their lives have meaning and purpose and you can't ask for more than that. Well done all Turning Point staff!!
The evening was enjoyable in a very different way. The piece of music we listened to was titled photography. Not obvious to me what this meant but I was able to convey my thoughts on the music for the researcher nonetheless. We will meet the composer at a later event and I look forward to that.
Great day-the sunset was beautiful on the drive home, and I spoke to our wee girl from NZ too.
