You can take a dog to water

............and he might have a drink.
This is the little river behind our house, and a bit we rather grandly call "The Beach".  It's the River Alne and the name comes from the Celtic "Alwine", meaning bright and clear. You can see why on a sunny day like today. 
Hector and Ziggy both love drinking the water here. Hector will always go in quite a way up his legs, but Ziggy just gets his feet wet. After falling in the canal the other week we thought Hector may have decided to go in a bit deeper, but no, still up to just above his knees. 
It was quite warm today on their walk so we came back via the river path so that they could have a drink.
