Childhood dreams
I wonder what was going on in the imagination of the little one who built this. From their low perspective, looking across the sea to a far off land maybe they imagined hoards of marauding villains landing on the shore, ready to lay seige to the impressive castle which now stands before them. First they have to negotiate the moat guarded by the huge rocks surrounding the buildings base then enter by one of the castles many windows.
It may be the home of a fairy princess who is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her prince. He may fly across on the back of a white dragon with a huge yellow beak from the land she can see in the distance.
Within half an hour from when this picture was taken, the ever rising waters of the Moray Firth will surround this castle of dreams, and, as with all buildings and dreams built on a bed of sand, out of sand, to sand it shall return, living on only in the fertile imagination of the one who built it.
