Early Start ...

8:30 am at the dentist. Not really the way I like to start a day off off!
We got up at 7:00 am and rushed to be there in time. It's not too far but it is a U-Bahn ride plus a short walk at both ends.
Neil was practically in and out. The strip got changed and he came back with his new Bugs Bunny pad to keep in for 30 minutes.
I was tired and felt like going home and back to bed. Instead we decided to find a good coffee and see what else we could do being out early.
However, Berlin is not an early morning city. Most places only open at 10 or 11 am.
We decided to walk to the Maybach Ufer and try out the Café Populus. 
After a 20 Minutes walk we arrived there and they were open already, although the staff looked still a bit sleepy.
We had a lovely filter coffee from their own roast and spent an hour there before going to the Türkenmarkt at Maybachufer. Even the Market was still setting up way after 10 am! That is Berlin, ;) no rushing!
We got some olives and some of the world best cinnamon that you can get there, before we slowly walked home passing the "no Gluten" Café at Südstern, where I got a couple of their delicious gf brownies.
We stopped at the Market Hall for some bits and pieces and were back home at half past 1 - having done almost a normal full day of activities ;)
We had a bite to eat and jumped on the bikes to see Anke at her home at the "Fliegerviertel" in Tempelhof.
We had a lovely afternoon with coffee, prosecco, nibbles, good banter, a wee walk through her cute neighbourhood. We made our way home way later than we intended.
Back home we decided to go for a meal. After a bit back and forth we agreed to go to Thalassa, a greek restaurant with acclaimed good home cooking which we wanted to try since a long time and never managed.
We had a nice dinner, half a litre of wine and were only home after 1 am.
I am happy that Neil is feeling human again and that we had an active fun-day.

The blip is another photo booth we found on our way in Neukölln. I dragged Neil in - of course - directly after the dentist. The photo stays hidden - I also forgot to photograph it .....
