A bit of a diversion.

A short and simple morning walk we thought but this bunch of cattle made it any thing but today.

We had had quite a wet start but having fought our way through the bogs we met this huge herd of cows and calves effectively corralled between two gates on this short stretch of grassy lane.

We tried to boldly walk on in a calm fashion ( well not corinthian who doesn't even like to be in the same field as any farm animal) but as they were moving with us and blocking the exit we decided to climb the wall into the woods to get around them. (Another adventure in itself involving climbing walls, ploughing through heather and bracken and sliding on our bottoms over the edge of the moor back onto the path.)

It was as well we did because if you look carefully you can see the bull in the middle here. something we hadn't spotted until we were above the wall. Quite a big fella too!
