Birthday celebrations

The Other Half celebrated a big birthday today and I'd organised a (half) surprise party. He thought we were to be joined by some family and a few friends but we were actually joined by around 35 people including family, friends and their little ones. The step- children took their dad out for drinks first, playing their part in the surprise very well. Although they let him drink a little too much on an empty stomach!
Meanwhile, I got the decor and inflatables (Madness themed, obviously) out alongside some very humorous photos of The Other Half in his younger years, the older Step son was rather jealous of his dad's boyish good looks (addiional). The cake was delivered too and was very much to his liking (additional).
A great BBQ followed and the drink flowed nicely!
We braved the cold in the new big gazebo with the help of a heater before heading out for some drinks later.
A lovely day full of laughter.
