Painted Turtle

What a difference a few hours can make.  This morning was bright and sunny and this afternoon is dark and rainy, typical spring weather for us. Usually the storms pass over in an hour or two and the sun reappears before it sets.  Today is particularly bad to the south and east of us (including Denver) with very heavy rain and hail.  Luckily it isn't as bad here. Glad we got out for an early walk, though!  There were supposed to be 5 turtles in this shot but 4 got spooked and disappeared into the water. :-)
