Aperture on Life

Back Home

I am still alive! I've had a fantastic time in Scotland with so much going on that, having missed a couple of blips I decided to go with the flow and to back blip on my return. Good times with family and friends. Miles travelled in the car, long walks in the fresh air, memory trips back to childhood, and exploration of haunts old and new.

I drove through the night, arriving back in Surrey at 6am. A journey fraught with niggling incidents but nothing serious, other than a large lorry swerving over the road in front of me as I was about to overtake. That was a nasty moment! I was relieved to arrive back before the M25 blocked with Monday morning traffic.

I've hundreds of photographs to be sorted and blips chosen but there has been no time today. One foot on the doorstep and it's back into the daily whirl and the catch ups! A couple of hours snooze to recharge batteries and I was off.

I stuck the camera on the dash board in the early hours this morning and took a few long exposures with the remote as I drove, not expecting to find anything worthwhile. This is one of the images I found this evening. Not much of a photograph I know, but I thought I'd better put something up here to prove I didn't kill myself on the way north.

Back blipping tomorrow!
