6 Weeks/12 Days

Just over six weeks ago, this same climbing rose looked like this.

Twelve days from today, we will celebrate the Autumnal Equinox, the time of harvest home. Although the days are still sunny and the light is beautiful, there is also a coolness in the air that wasn't present a few days ago.

Sights in our garden like today's blip remind me to bring out our warm jackets, put away for the summer, before we journey by train to Virginia next week, as we're likely to need them on our return.
