Took this view of the Punta della Dogana ( the old Customs House, now an art museum) and Santa Maria del Salute church while we were waiting for the 9 am vaporetto back to the airport this morning.

The blip I missed was of a family of four who, just after I'd put the camera away, came and stood with their backs to the water and tossed coins over their shoulders. Not sure if this was for luck or to ensure they return to Venice in the future.

We had a very smooth and trouble free flight back, where we discovered summer had arrived in Somerset.
