Put The Flags Out

..... it's Somerset Day!

Today has been designated Somerset Day in commemoration of King Alfred leading the people of Somerset into battle and victory against the Vikings in May 878

The local Parish Council have organised a day of activities on Saturday and the County flag here is flying above a number of shops.

On a personal level, I was putting the flags out after breaking 80 (just!) for a round of golf for the first (and probably last!) time. It was just one of those days when nearly everything went right; taking my handicap into account I ended up 12 under par. Can't imagine doing that again.
