Indian Lilac

In front of our house we have an Indian Lilac which has been flowering less and less over the years, and was looking a bit tatty, but in March the local garden centre was offering a lesson on how to prune them. So I sent Mr F along, and when he came home he practised what he had learned!
He's agonised every day since then, thinking he's killed it, but thank goodness at last it has sprouted some leaves, and we'll have to wait until late summer to see if it flowers.
