B-u-T and Bamburgh

Our first full day in Northumberland saw us in Berwick upon Tweed in the morning, of which the main blip is the Royal Border Bridge.

In the afternoon we visited Bamburgh and walked along the beach and visited the splendid Bamburgh Castle and then in the evening, just before the tide came in we scooted out to Holy Island to see the Priory and the Castle.  

Unfortunately the castle is undergoing some underpinning so was not looking its best!
