Bakewell
Hundreds of photos today as we wandered around Bakewell. Lovely market town and we've never seen so many dogs in a town out for a walk.
Weather a bit grey but brightened up later. Pleasant temperature which meant shorts and short sleeve shirt (with gilet). Apart from the buildings, alms houses, stalls, church (plus wedding); stone coffins, padlocks, ducks, geese, heraldry, craft fairs, antiques, traffic and general sights, there was still lots to do.
Back to our apartment to rest up before a great evening to celebrate our friends' 70tg birthdays. A lovely end to a very enjoyable day.
The Blip has to be of the Bakewell tarts and puddings which seem to keep half the tourist imdustry going here!
Now for the drive back with the hope that the warning light on the car engine, while stable at the moment, does not start flashing!!
