Saturday: Audain Art Gallery

We are enjoying a lovely weekend with V and E this weekend.  We picked them up this morning and headed up to Whistler, about two hours north of Vancouver,

After an excellent pie lunch we headed to the Audain Art Gallery.  Our primary reason for coming up was the Fred Herzog exhibition that was on but not only was the building stunningly natural and organic but the permanent exhibition was also a real revelation. And then add on the fact that there was an exhibition of Matisse drawings it made for a very cultured afternoon.

We are staying in Squamish for the night and had an excellent meal at the Salted Vine (www.saltedvine.ca) - probably one of the best we have had in Canada.  And in Squamish, of all places.
