Rust on the Beach

13.9C sunny morning then sun and showers through the afternoon. Light to moderate SSW/SW/S breeze.

Grocery shopping.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Some seals on the rocks with more in the sea next to the shore at Kiel. The pinks were still in full bloom and possibly at their most colourful all along the rocks and the little wall by the road at Kiel.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again. The sea was calm with small waves breaking. There were lots of Gannets flying out to sea and some were diving. The little Terns were diving just off the beach. On the beach there were Oystercatchers and Ringed Plovers. Also a few people and a couple of dogs.

There were no boxes of eggs for sale at Little farm's roadside stand today !

Later Apothecary7 was starting a new rag rug.

Afternoon music ... BBC Radio 2.
