Breakfast at Mountain View

... comes highly recommended!

We are home now and our substantial breakfast has kept us going all day. This restaurant above a mountain sports shop is run by Kiwis - some of the photographic art work labelled Skiwi is also theirs. It is in the middle of Aviemore and I wish we were going back to try some of the more interesting breakfast options. The view was across to Cairngorm and the other mountains in the range.
We were there early and there were plenty of tables but we did spot a sign asking people to queue on the stairs if it was busy. As we left they were doing just that. A testament to the food.

Homeward bound then. Just one very heavy shower as we followed the old road through Kingussie and Newtonmore which put us off stopping.

These interesting clouds over the Perthshire countryside may have been part of the front bringing the showers, second extra. Other than that it was sunshine all the way. Pretty much summing up our whole holiday. Can't wait till next year!
