On arrival

A much needed G&T after a most tedious and very long journey down to Essex, well very nearly Suffolk. Getting around Birmingham was the worst bit but our little campsite at Dairy House Farm, Wix, is delightful and we're well settled in now. The weather's holding but very sultry and humid.

Whilst our journey on the motorways was tedious there was lots of wildlife to see on the verges; a stunning Jay (alive) a not so stunning Jay (dead) a Kestrel dive bombing its prey, Red Kites circling overhead, but too much roadkill too, foxes, badgers, rats, a small deer, pheasant and a gorgeous Buzzard.

Oh! and on part of our journey a mad driver going far, far too fast swerved and cut right in front of us missing us by a mere hair's breadth. Still trembling at the thought of it ..... Maybe another G&T will help?!
