The day has arrived

Today it is the Fete de Randoneurs in the village. Guided walks, a market and the chance to try an electric bike, a bar amongst other things.
Tricia and myself tried the bikes and managed an average of 15 kmph on the 7km (hilly) circuit of our valley. They could be the (not very cheap) way forwards.
Otherwise caught up with a few friends and bought some things in the market. The latest news is that the shop in the village is now a more general epicerie - grocer - than it was before. We are looking forward to trying it out over the summer.
Yesterday drinks with a couple of neighbours along with Guy, our builder, and his partner. All very jolly but difficult to keep up when everyone was jabbering away, ten to the dozen, loudly and at the same time. Politics always does stir things up
