a sweet flower

sweet alyssum . . .  one of my favorites
such a sweet scent
I recognize it every time
and it brings me back 
to 1978, walking on the grounds 
of West Los Angeles Community College.
It was planted there like ground cover 
and, oh! 
The smell has been ingrained in my brain :o) 

So, I have to plant a little here in Florida . . . 
some 39 years later! 
It makes me smile and I feel thankful.
