Looking at the Big Sky

Did interval training underneath this beautiful big sky today. Run easy, then hard, then walk, easy, hard, walk. It's supposed to help my speed.

MLFO* excelled themselves today. I'd write a book about it but no one would believe it. The lunatics haven't quite taken over the asylum, but they are a hell of a lot smarter than the people in charge.

I always think about what I know about these people as like knowing there is a cupboard in the building with a revolting creature inside. There are lots of people who have never had cause to open the door, and so don't know about the creature, but it doesn't mean it isn't there. I envy the people who wander around in their blissful ignorance and enthusiasm. But when you know, you can't not know, no matter how hard you try. And knowing informs how you feel about every little thing they say and do, even if you don't want it to. Because you have the misfortune of knowing what they are really like. When I hear people talk about how brilliant they are, I don't see it as a difference of opinion, but a difference of information. Lucky them.

The good news is that Al had a brilliant second day:). He is the best.
