Hills and stuff near Keswick/ Penrith

Weird but fantastic weather this morning - very heavy rain, sunshine and incredible air clarity. Not good weather for climbing or looking at trees in an arboretum but fantastic weather for nipping out of the car to take quick snaps.

This is about five miles west of Penrith. The road is the A66 and I think the valley in the distance is Patterdale. Really beautiful and inspiring landscape.

Obscene amount of work to do so not too much time for blipping. Going on a site visit tommorow to dig pits and look at different types of soil - hopefully I'll know my podsols from my gleys...
