Busy busy

Took a quick stroll into Keswick after forestry classes and before I started tackling work work. Managed to identify all seven species of tree I passed on the river bank including differentiating between sessile oak (Quercus petraea) and common/ English oak (Quercus robur). Buzzing!

Spent all day digging holes in the pouring rain looking at soils. Very, very wet but learnt a lot. Fairly unimaginative blip - nice to see a bit of blue sky though!
