Argonne

Spent the day at Argonne National Labs with my student and our host. There I gave a seminar, stopping at an appropriate point for my student to deliver the talk she'll give at next week's conference. She'd been anxious since it was her first public talk, but did well. Our host lined up a sequence of folk who were interested in talking to me, but tiredness meant it was hard to be useful at times. At the end of the day, eight of us went to a local microbrewery to relax over a couple of good beers before returning to our host's house for another barbecue eaten on their deck.
